本課程期望培養學生內外科護理之專業能力，並從身、心、靈等各層面，瞭解各系統疾病病人所面臨的健康問題，經由批判性思考之訓練，讓學生瞭解到目前臨床上重要且常見之護理活動。本學期所授之單元涵蓋手術、腫瘤、傳染性疾病、消化系統、心臟血管系統、內分泌系統以及急症護理。

This course introduces the student to the use of the nursing process in the care of adults with illness. A system approach is used to discuss the effects of illness on the individual and family from physical, psychological, and spiritual perspectives. Medical-surgical nursing content focuses on use of the nursing process to facilitate student learning about specific disease processes and body systems and associated nursing care. This course focuses on applying critical thinking, clinical decision-making and evidence-based nursing practice to analyze health problems of adults. Systems include: gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, hematologic and endocrine system. Oncology nursing will also be discussed.
